Here's a list of some of our favorite things to do, both within walking distance from where we're getting married and a short(ish) drive away.
Close: Marin Headlands Hiking

The Marin Headlands is home to wonderful trails (we highly recommend the Coastal Trail, which we'll be doing Sunday afternoon with guests who are still around). Here's more information about the Marin Headlands.
Close: Pt Bonita Lighthouse (Marin Headlands)

Pt Bonita Lighthouse (pictured on the left) is one of Jacky's favorite lighthouses in the world. The walk out to the lighthouse is a short, 20 minute "hike" (it's mostly paved) from the trail head to the a series of pedestrian, suspension bridges that lead you to the lighthouse. The tunnel halfway to the lighthouse is open 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
Close: Rodeo Beach (Also Marin Headlands)

On very few, very special days, the Marin Headlands is blessed with beautiful weather like you see in the picture to the left. Most of the time, the weather is not like this so don't be fooled (we'll say it again: BRING LAYERS!). Still, Rodeo Beach is a short walk (15 minutes) from the Marin Headlands Hostel through a lagune (you can see it from the hostel's entrance!) and is wonderful to visit in any weather.
Close: Sausalito

Sausalito is the town just inland of the Marin Headlands; it's home to some adorable shops, restaurants (ice cream shop too!), and lovely houseboats. If you were curious about the houseboats but aren't staying in one, you can still walk along the docks to see the outsides of these houseboats.
Farther afield: Point Reyes and Tomales Bay

Tomales Bay is a long narrow inlet of the Pacific Ocean in Marin County in northern California in the United States and hosts breathtaking hikes, beaches, oyster tastings, kayaking, delicious cheese, and another beautiful lighthouse. And the town of Pt Reyes Station is adorable.
Farther afield: Other activites

There is so much to do in Northern California, all with in a short driving distance. You can go to Muir Woods, visit Sonoma (we love Preston and Bella wineries) or Napa (our favorites are Honig and Frog's Leap), hang out on Stinson Beach, our visit the hippy town of Bolinas.
